During October 12 and 13, we took part in the 8th edition of the ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum (ESEF) 2023, in Praia (Cape Verde). The event, established in 2015, is organized each year by the ECOWAS Center for Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE). It aims to encourage cooperation and partnerships to accelerate the establishment of a viable market for sustainable energy solutions in the region.
The Forum is an unmissable meeting place for renewable energies stakeholders in West Africa, bringing together over the years Heads of State, Ministers, Heads of development Organizations, financial Institutions, stakeholders renowned private sector experts in the field of energy and climate.
On the second day of the Forum, we had the opportunity to participate in a Session of the Tripartite Consultative Committee, established within the framework of the ECOWAS Certification of Sustainable Energy Skills (ECSES). We shared this session with Certification Experts from ECREEE, Heads of Directorate or Agency on Renewable Agency and Energy Efficiency, Academics, and Associative Organizations representing the private sectors in ECOWAS countries.
During this session, we then made a presentation of the GN SEC, before moving to the STAR C Project, and finishing with the Solar Academy which will be implemented in Senegal.
